How I'm bringing a Duck Egg Blue colour scheme to my living room

One of the best parts of owning my own home has definitely been finally getting the opportunity to put all my interior ideas into practice throughout the home including the bathroom and bedroom. I have so many different ideas of things I want to do to make the house more homely but my main area of focus is definitely my living room. It's the place I spend the most time, it's where I entertain any guests, and in the summer it's the place I chill out in front of the patio doors. I've been working with Land Of Rugs* recently and was very kindly gifted this beautiful duck egg blue rug below:

I'm completely in love with this rug! It's so luxuriously soft I just want to lay on it. The Ridge Rug has a hand-carved pile giving it the 3D rectangular effect you can see. It has a high-density pile and the fibres have subtle tonal variations including light reflecting sheen giving the rug a really opulent look. I adore how it looks in my living room it really brings the room together and gives it the splash of colour that my monochrome room has needed. Its available in 3 different sizes with prices ranging from £59.95 - £174.95 which I think is affordable for a rug of this quality

I've had the rug for a few weeks now and have found it really durable and easy to care for, the texture and fluffiness is easily restored with a quick whizz with a vacuum cleaner and Tilly the cat loves it too (as evidenced!)

Duck Egg Blue Rug

I love the Duck egg blue colour and feel that this colour scheme really compliments my existing living room colour scheme, so I've been looking at different interior pieces that can compliment my new rug and complete the look of my room

Duck Egg Blue Home Interior Accents

My living room at the minute has a grey fluffy carpet, magnolia walls, and black and white chevron curtains. My sofa is a steel grey too so it has a very monochrome feel, I still really like all the pieces I've curated but the addition of the Duck Egg Blue Ridge Rug from Land of Rugs has made me want to accent the room more with splashes of colour here are my top 5 picks:

Duck Egg Blue Interiors
Total Cost - £78.49

I think the duck egg blue paint for a geometric triangle feature wall would really bring the colour into the room. I also think the sheer curtains a fab way to keep my existing curtains but use this one to bring a little privacy to the patio doors. The other items are cute little accents to pull everything together. All the little accents come to just under £80 which I think is super affordable for transforming the room to contain a duck egg blue colour scheme

What colour scheme do you have in your living room?
