Wow oh wow we're 11 months into the year I can almost feel Christmas on the horizon! I personally cannot stand Winter so I'm heading out of the country BUT I have found some brilliant events for you lovely people staying in Sheffield this month

Sheffield Train Station

1st - Halloween Murder Mystery Evening 
Location: Sheffield United Football Club - S2 4SU
Cost: £30

An exciting Murder Mystery evening full of intrigue - 3 course meal and late bar


5th - Afterdark Fireworks 
Location: Don Valley Bowl S9 5DP
Cost: £12

Held every year in Sheffield After Dark Firework Spectacular, Yorkshire’s big bonfire night event, attracts up to 20,000 people!
This year After Dark celebrates Bonfire Night with the Hallam FM stage, a giant bonfire which will be lit at 7.30pm, a funfair, street food stalls, fire spinners, face painting and of course the legendary firework display set to music at 9pm. The gates open at 5.30pm and the event closes at 10pm


7th - Meadowhall Christmas Live
Location: Meadowhall S9 1EP

Meadowhall Christmas Live will be bringing an amazing line up of artists to Yorkshire, ready to kick start your Christmas. On 7 November our stage will be set, the lights will be on and the stars ready to make it a memorable night, not to be missed! It really is an unmissable event, with food, fun, competitions and loads more, ending perfectly with a magical, festive firework finale!


10th - Winter Wedding Fayre
Location: Tapton Hall S10 3BU
Cost: FREE

Join us for our Winter Wedding Fayre and see many of our rooms set up for the big day! Lots of amazing local suppliers, plus our events team will be on hand to discuss what we have to offer.

14th - Gin Academy
Location: Revolution S1 4JL
Cost: £30


This class is a fully interactive experience that will see you taste, mix and learn about different types of gins as well as compete to see which graduate from the academy. And, of course, a GINerous helping of the finest juniper tipples from around the world. Join us at one of our gin classes and master the world’s trendiest, most in-the-moment spirit.


20th - Lino Print Christmas Wrapping Crafts
Location: St. James House, Vicar Ln, Sheffield S1 2EX
Cost: £35


Create your very own printing block that can be taken home and used again. Once you have made your printing block you'll have the chance to create your own wrapping paper and 5 tags. Refreshments and all materials will be provided.


24th - Daliso Chaponda 
Location: 6 Leadmill Road, Sheffield S1 4SE
Cost: £15


Daliso shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent and has gone on to amass over 100 million YouTube views, write and star in his critically acclaimed Radio 4 show Citizen of Nowhere, and appear on QI, The Apprentice: You’re Fired, News Quiz and The Now Show. In his hilarious, daring new show, Daliso looks at disgraced, blacklisted celebrities and historical figures we’re ashamed we once admired. There’s also the small matter of family member arrests, exploding buildings in his home country and the enterprising Malawian who tried to blackmail him


27th - Christmas Craft Fayre
Location: Whirlowbrook Hall, S11 9QD
Cost: FREE 

The stunning building will play host to a yuletide pop up market that will include stalls selling homemade candles, Christmas tree decorations, jewellery and accessories - perfect for presents and stocking fillers. There will also be mulled wine, mince pies and carol singers will be performing traditional carols to create a wonderful festive feel

Admission is free and the pop-up craft market is open from 6.00pm-9.00pm so is perfect for after work shopping


30th - A Reyt Queer Do
Location: Theatre Deli S1 4QZ
Cost: £4 - £25


Kick start your party season in style with a night of queer performance and partying brought to you by Yorkshire's Andro & Eve. This Shine Like a Diamond Edition of A REYT QUEER DO will be hosted by rapper Bad Lay-Dee, featuring poet and writer Afshan D’souza - Lohdi and performances by up and coming Northern queer performers. With cake, so much sparkle and DJ set by Big Joanie's Chardine Taylor Stone, adorn yourself in some glitz, and come dance the night away in this night of queer joy. OVER 18'S ONLY. All performances will be BSL Interpreted.
