Cocktail Bars Sheffield: 10 of the best Sheffield Cocktails

Cocktail Bars Sheffield

Do you know that scene in Only Fools where everyone’s drinking a pint in the pub and Delboy has a Pina Colada complete with a mini umbrella? That’s me. No matter what the drinking establishment I head straight for the cocktail menu and start working my way through it. While it’s not the cheapest way to drink it brings me the most joy. Whether it’s a cheesy classic or a more modern scientific layered cocktail complete with smoke and mirrors – due to my love of a cocktail I’ve definitely got my list of preferred places down to a fine art so here are my 10 of the best cocktail bars Sheffield has to offer. If you’re not a big drinker then don’t worry because most of these cocktails bar have delicious mocktails too I always head for cranberry drinks in a mocktail because they're so tasty.

Yates

An Oldie but a Goldie, I’m sure most major cities in the UK have a Yates’ which means you should all have at least one terrible story! The one in Sheffield has recently had quite a revamp which also included their cocktail list – 2 for 1 if you have the same drink so either you share with a friend with similar taste or you have 2 to yourself, either way you’re winning
Cocktail of choice: Bubble Gum Babe

OHM

The interiors in this place I completely fell in love! It’s a gorgeous mix of extravagant Victorian opulence mixed with a modern vibe. I think this follows through to their cocktails too you will find the classics done in an exceptional manner, but you will also find super hip modern cocktails too – many available on a 2 for £10 offer
Cocktail of choice: Cherry Bakewell

Wick at Both Ends

The Wick closed earlier this year for a little bit of a refurb and a full-on cocktail shakeup. What returned was everything I loved about the Wick and SO much more. A really nice cosy space with relaxed vibes it’s a darker space than most cocktail bars – in fact, if I’m honest it’s a pub. But a bloody good one with a real focus on it’s one of a kind cocktails
Cocktail of choice: Rhubarb and Custard
NOTE - Unfortunately since creating this post the Wick at both Ends has closed permanently

Lost and Found

A cocktail bar full of character it prides itself on taking you from the norm to its whimsical world full of glamour and molecular mixology. Signature tipples dedicated to each professor this place is unlike any other I’ve ever been to. It’s on the pricier side but the absolute decadence and glamour will make you feel like you’ve transported back to the golden era
Cocktail of choice: Bridgetown Berry
Mocktail of choice: Hedgerow Cooler

Bamboo Door

Sheffields first Tiki bar when every night is a Hawaiian shirt night the space is very cutely decorated with lots of flower garlands and Aloha vibes. Super relaxed bar and one for the start of a night
Cocktail of choice: Nothing Rhymes with Purple

The Botanist

Ultra secret garden vibes you’ll be easily deceived into thinking this is just a cocktail bar – if you want food head upstairs to the butterfly room and prepare to be wowed (read a full review of the Botanist food here). But first drinks – true to its name the botanist infuses the best botanical aspects of flowers, herbs and garnishes into your delicious cocktails. Let mother nature be your guide to tantalising your taste buds
Cocktail of choice: Poppy and Pomegranate Martini
Mocktail of choice: Lychee and Strawberry Bloom

Bar & Beyond

This place is a concept of a bar and a club (or the beyond!) super comfy lounge chairs, table football and a huge area to dance it’s the perfect in-between location. With cocktails on 2for1 four nights a week including Friday / Saturday it’s an option that won’t annihilate your bank balance
Cocktail of choice: #Sorrynotsorry
Mocktail of choice: Love Island

Kuckoo

A unique rock and roll cocktail bar I absolutely adore the vibe of this place everything is red because of the lighting; there are even furry walls and it’s just got such a cool indie rock vibe followed through into their cocktails
Cocktail of choice: 10 dollar milkshake

Honeycomb

Think Instaworthy glamour and glitz. Honeycomb is a stunning place with beautiful VIP booths to sit chill and catch up on some gossip all placed into cute honeycombs. It’s a really big space with food too if you were feeling peckish but the star of the show, in my opinion, is the cocktails. Fusing together Yorkshire charm with Asian culture the cocktail list boasts 30 creations designed to indulge all your senses
Cocktail of choice: Queen Bee

Kettle Black

An indulgent location you can pick between the cocktail bar, the heated terrace, Tanqueray Lounge or even VIP Mezzanine. The cocktails are created by the cities finest mixologists curating seasonal menus with premium brands. With such a huge space you’re bound to find somewhere to enjoy your cocktail
Cocktail of choice: The Refresher
