Summer is here which means that Sheffield is buzzing with lots of fun and exciting things to do, if like me you're planning on sticking around this summer then keep reading to find the best things to do in Sheffield this summer (previous monthly editions can be found here: April / May / June / July )

2nd / 3rd - Gin and Prosecco Festival

Location: The British Oak, S20 5AY

4th - Sheffield Urban Caving Tour

10th / 11th - Sheffield ComicCon

17th / 30th - Sheffield Bricktropolis

Location: Sheffield Centre

After the huge success last year the Sheffield Bricktropolis is back again this time with an Outer Space theme, download the new app and explore Sheffield's Outer Space Trail of galactic bricks, planets, astronauts and even aliens

18th - SUFC v Crystal Palace

Location: Bramall Lane, S24SU
Cost: £30

I've been waiting for this all summer long since the end of last season. It will be the first home game of Sheffield United's return to the premiership. If you're keen on going then look into tickets quickly as it will definitely sell out

20th - Pieces and Pizza

Location: Showroom Cafe, S1 2BX

Back for its 17th year the Sheffield Fayre is fun for all the family event with entertainers, music, dance, family funfair and lots of local delicious food and craft stalls to sample

29th -  Bottle Terrarium Workshop

Location: Meadowhall, S9 1EA
Cost: £30

Another of the amazing Meadowhall Sessions, this month my top pick is the Bottle Terrarium workshop, learn about how they survive and with a little help build your very own Terrarium to take home
